This piece is a self-portrait, painted using direct observation from mirrors. I used details such as coffee brushed newspaper, a toga, and details similar to a broken off statue to make the portrait appear more aged and Roman-styled. I often consider myself an "old soul," therefore, I expressed this in an image of myself as I appear like a Greek
statue.
